Job Description

Undertake and coordinate projects, and manage administrative and operational requirements relating to Online Learning.

  • Research, analyse and consolidate information required and project initiated by the Director, of Online Learning.
  • Prepare and consolidate management reporting and project materials in a timely manner.
  • Manage and control information security and confidentiality on all matters pertaining to projects in development.
  • Manage administrative and operational requirements within the Online Learning Unit.
  • Prepare departmental policies and procedures.
  • Perform budgetary, financial, and procurement tasks.
  • Provide secretariat and organisational support for OLE meetings and committee meetings.
  • Managing Director's schedule and co-ordinate meetings for Director.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's with 5+ years' relevant experience.
  • Sound project management methodology and effective in keeping project timelines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of tools.
  • Willingness and ability to learn new skills associated with the job.
  • Must be able to function well in a complex institutional framework and have a high tolerance for ambiguity and the flexibility necessary to respond quickly and appropriately to changing circumstances and priorities.

Job Description

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for forming strategic partnerships across Asia to build awareness of SUSS Online educational programmes. Through effective and compelling representation, this role will build and engage strong relationships with organizations, agents, leaders and professionals to educate and recruit potential online students.

The incumbent is a highly responsible professional that is expected to make an immediate impact on our ability to analyse and develop new relationships and partnerships for SUSS Online programmes.

The incumbent is responsible for identifying potential opportunities, cultivating and managing those relationships, and finalising common terms and conditions to grow online enrolments. This position will provide strategic guidance, leadership and tactical implementation of the online initiatives. This individual’s efforts will align with the strategic enrolment goals of SUSS Online to drive future enrolment growth and expand brand recognition for our various SUSS Online programme offerings.

This position will be based in Singapore and will require up to 40% travel.

  • Develop business analyses related to key partnerships to recruit online students across Asia
  • Conduct market and competitor research and assessment, identify and evaluate potential business opportunities and partnerships
  • Cultivate long-term business relationship
  • Qualify all business opportunities to ensure viability and value to the organisation; ensure business partnerships align with strategic objectives and long term mission of SUSS Online
  • Advocate for short-term, long-term and strategic needs for online enrolment growth
  • Execute regional agreements with partners to expand the reach of our SUSS Online enrolments across Asia
  • Work with marketing team to develop local marketing plans within target countries to include collateral requirements, campaigns, media, events, etc.
  • Collaborate to develop a creative product plan and implementation roadmap related to international opportunities for SUSS Online
  • Participate in relevant associations to increase awareness of the SUSS Online brand and product offering within these associations
  • Demonstrate a creative approach to establish relationships with partner organisations, clients, agents, and institutions
  • Proactively manage multiple and varied stakeholder relationships (internal and external) to effect business change; understanding of their needs, issues and criteria for success
  • Collaborate with enrolment to understand programme enrolment budgets and forecasts
  • Collaborate with marketing to develop messaging, pricing and marketing materials as required

Job Requirements

  • Graduate degree in Business
  • Minimum requirement of 5-7 years progressive experience in a Business Development, and B2B related experience preferably in an education environment
  • Knowledge of education industry with online learning experience a plus
  • Strong qualitative and analytical skills.
  • Ability to perform market analyses and evaluate results
  • Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have advanced interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to develop and deliver presentations to management and external stakeholders

Job Description

This is a Mobile and Java application developer position specifically to support the various elearning initiatives undertaken by Singapore University of Social Sciences Learning Services Cluster. These initiatives include mobile applications, content management system, eBook store, learning analytics dashboard etc.

  • Design, develop, debug, test and support various systems like mobile applications, CMS, eLearning tools and customised application
  • Design and develop web services for mobile application, software plug-ins that extends the functionalities of LMS through the use of LTI and system APIs
  • Create compelling user interfaces and experiences as well as build the interfaces with focus on usability features
  • Ensure all software development life cycles are on schedule and documented from design to implementation phases
  • Coordinate with faculty users, admin staff and IT administrators on the development of new eLearning applications and ensure secured integration with existing IT processes and systems
  • Work closely with eLearning application vendors on customization, testing and resolution of any technical issue related to system implementation

Job Requirements

  • Applicants should possess a Bachelor Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or Computer Engineering with at least 3 years of experience in designing and developing mobile and web applications. Fresh graduate are also welcome to apply
  • Experience with JAVA EE, server-side programming, web services, software integration of Learning Management System (LMS), XML and RESTful API are required
  • Experience with Visualforce framework for Salesforce CRM (force.com), Amazon Web Services (AWS), Javascript, HTML5, CSS and Adobe Photoshop would be advantageous
  • Experience with SQL (e.g. MySQL, Oracle) and non-SQL databases (e.g. Mongo DB) would be desirable
  • Experience developing highly available/redundant software with strong understanding in SOA/modular architectures is required
  • Practical knowledge of software development methodologies and production considerations, such as version control, code libraries, source control systems, documentation, code reviews and software release management
  • Ability to successfully organize, prioritize and manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment
  • Excellent technical and analytical skills with initiative and ability to work independently

The successful candidate must be able to work independently as well as in a team, to provide the lead in all activities related to the design and development of multimedia for e-learning and promotional materials for university-wide events. Candidates are required to submit a portfolio of design works along with the resume.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead in the design and development of multimedia elements for e-courses and promotional materials for university-wide events
  • Convert text-based content to web-based and ePUB formats
  • Work with Learning Design Specialists and Subject Matter Experts to produce engaging multimedia such as graphical illustrations and animations for the online learning environment
  • Create graphical elements such as icons and logos for web and mobile applications
  • Sourcing for and evaluation of appropriate multimedia authoring and graphic design tools that provide for greater learner engagement
  • Provide coaching and guidance to junior staff
  • Oversee and contribute to Multimedia Library (Templates and reusable objects)

Job Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Graphic Design / IT, Multimedia, Visual Communications or related disciplines
  • At least 6 years working experience in multimedia, graphic design or related fields
  • Operational knowledge of:
    • Multimedia and Web Design authoring tools such as Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Illustrator and InDesign
    • Graphical User Interface and Navigation design principles
    • XML, Java Script, ePUB3, HTML5 and CSS
  • Good communication (verbal and written), interpersonal and leadership skills
