Job Description

To provide technical and operational support to the Curriculum Team (CT) relating to Online Learning.

  • Assist to manage OLE course course repository amd assets
  • Prepare resources prior to building of courses (e.g. check all resources are available and in the correct format)
  • Build courses onto the learning management system (LMS)
  • Maintain and update (if necessary) the LMS customisation
  • Assist to organise technical testing and follow up on any issues
  • Liaisie with the Learning Systems and Applications (LSA) /vendor on any LMS queries and third party application
  • Rectify simple technical issues such as broken links in courses
  • Develop, amend and update technical help guides when necessary
  • Explore and test other features of the LMS and other technologies for possible adoption
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as procurement and contracting
  • Any other tasks assigned by the supervisor

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (preferably in ICT or Multimedia) with at least 2 years relevant experience
  • Familiar with learning management system
  • Technical Savvy
  • Willingess and ability to learn new skills associated with the job
  • Must be able to function well in a complex institutional framework and have high tolerance for ambiguity and the flexibility necessary to respond quickly and appropriately to changing circumstances and priorities

Job Description

Reporting to the IT Architect, Online Learning (OLE), this position will work with OLE/Campus IT Services (CITS) team, users and vendors to support the strategic directions and businesses of SUSS Online by designing, developing, delivering, maintaining, enhancing and supporting the assigned application systems.

  • Analyze user's requirements, includes determining feasibility, cost, time and resources required, compatibility with current systems, potential problems areas and recommending solutions for projects
  • Assist in managing both in-house and out-sourced projects to meet project scope, budget, and schedule with proper project plan that is closely monitored and if necessary, adjusted
  • Define, design, develop, test and deploy application to meet the needs of the organization
  • Responsibile for the maintenance of application system by proper modification and deployment of application changes due to user requests or upgrade of operating systems, database systems and/or third party software
  • Provide applicatinon support and advice to user to enable the effective and efficient use of the applications, including conducting application training to users, troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, connectivity, user access and component configuration problems
  • Responsible for creation of all system documentations, and to ensure that they are kept up-to-date

Job Requirements

  • Degree/Diploma in Information Technology or equivalent with at least 4 years of requirements gathering, design and development experience

Job Description

  • Provide backend operations and support to the Canvas Learning Management Systems (e.g. course setup, user enrolment, assignment setup)
  • Provide day-to-day system support for all learning systems running on Linux and Windows platforms.
  • Prepare regular system analysis and management reports to reflect system usage.
  • Work closely with Learning Management System vendors on the customization, technical support, system upgrade, content migration, testing and resolution of any technical issue related to system implementation.
  • Perform system planning, system/network security and operating systems review, and proactively monitor IT systems and recommend enhancements/upgrades/patching when necessary.

Job Requirements

  • Applicants should possess a Diploma or Degree in Information Technology or Computer Engineering with at least three years of experience in Linux/Windows systems, network and security administration.
  • Hands-on application administration experience on the following would be preferred: Learning Management Systems (e.g. Canvas), Content Delivery (e.g. Panopto), Web Conferencing (e.g. Zoom), and Applications Performance Monitoring (e.g. Dynatrace Keynote).
  • Hands-on system and infrastructure administration experience on the following would be preferred: Cloud Infrastructure/Network/Security (e.g. Amazon Web Services), Cloud Security (e.g. Trend Micro Deep Security), Application Security (e.g. Qualys), and SSL certificate management (e.g. DigiCert).
  • Project management experience.

  • Work with Subject Matter Experts to produce engaging multimedia such as graphical illustrations and animations for the online learning environment
  • Create graphical elements such as icons and logos for web and mobile applications
  • Sourcing for and evaluation of appropriate multimedia authoring and graphic design tools that provide for greater learner engagement
  • Provide coaching and guidance to junior staff
  • Provide software training to the user

  • Oversee and contribute to Multimedia Library (Templates and reusable objects)

Job Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Graphic Design / IT, Multimedia, Visual Communications or related disciplines
  • At least 6 years working experience in multimedia, graphic design or related fields
  • Operational knowledge of:
    • Multimedia and Web Design authoring tools such as Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Illustrator and InDesign
    • Graphical User Interface and Navigation design principles
    • XML, Java Script, ePUB3, HTML5 and CSS
